Biography

Jasbir Arora is an F. Wendell Miller Professor and Professor Emeritus of Civil and Environmental Engineering. He is a researcher in the Virtual Soldier Research Program and has been with the program since its founding in 2003. Professor Arora is an internationally recognized expert in the fields of optimization, numerical analysis, and real-time implementation, and his nine books are widely used in these fields. He has served as an advisor to more than 45 PhD candidates.

Professor Arora is a fellow in the American Society of Civil Engineers and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. He is a senior member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
