The University of Iowa Technology Institute (ITI) has a broad research mission that has yielded numerous successful technologies in the areas of flight testing, human performance, human modeling and simulation, driving and transportation, advanced manufacturing technology and robotics, biomedical and biochemical science and engineering, machine learning, smart sensors, remote sensing, renewable energy, and modeling of environmental change.
ITI technology has contributed to government agencies such as the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, and NASA, and private companies such as Ford, General Motors, Chrysler, Collins Aerospace, John Deere, Caterpillar, and many others.
