The University of Iowa Technology Institute is made up of 30 labs led by faculty in the role of principal investigator. Researchers, staff, and students support the teams.


The ITI research program has substantially advanced computational modeling, simulation, visualization, and optimization technologies as applied to medical and health fields; human performance and cognition; manufacturing; public safety; advanced smart materials; climatology; energy production; and military preparedness, combat training, field operations, threat interdiction, and combat casualty support and treatment.
