Xuan Song is an associate professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering and director of the Additive Manufacturing-Integrated Product Realization Laboratory (AMPRL). His fields of interests include additive manufacturing and 3D printing, novel applications of additive manufacturing, and process development and optimization. 

Professor Song received a BS in mechanical engineering from Wuhan University and later received an MS from Zhejiang University. He also received an MS in computer science and a PhD in industrial systems engineering, both from the University of Southern California. Professor Song is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.
