This funding will support Ruben in his research on developing polymers that mimic key chemical structures of bacteria to create a targeted drug delivery system to the lungs.

Bernice Kubicek was awarded this fellowship to continue work born out of her time with the Ananya Sen Gupta Research Group. She has conducted research on sonar autonomous target recognition through the development of feature extraction algorithms that aim to improve the classification and recognition of objects deep underwater.
