Timothy Linhardt is a PhD student in the Department of Electrical Engineering and a graduate research assistant in the Ananya Sen Gupta Research Group. He completed his master’s in computer engineering at the University of Iowa in 2018, defending his thesis under Dr. Reinhard Beichel, exploring applications of deep learning to volumetric medical imaging. His current research is done in collaboration with NAVSEA and involves underwater acoustics and the efficacy of advanced machine learning methods in that domain.
