Marisol Contreras is a PhD student in the Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering and a graduate research assistant in the Syed Mubeen Research Group. She received a BS in chemical engineering from Washington State University. Marisol is interested in combating climate change and mitigating environmental damage. She conducts techno-economic analyses on emerging technologies related to chemical synthesis, energy conversion, and energy storage. The analyses she performs serve to identify a system's key parameters that must be optimized to advance their profitability and viability.
