Biography
Lakhima Chutia is a postdoctoral research scholar in the Atmospheric and Environmental Research Lab. She is involved in NASA- and NOAA-funded projects on the transport and climate effects of aerosols from volcanic eruptions, biomass burning, and anthropogenic emissions. Her research approach involves a combined use of satellite remote sensing and chemistry-transport models such as WRF-Chem and GEOS-Chem.
Lakhima completed her master’s in physics from Dibrugarh University, India, and recently obtained her PhD degree in atmospheric science from the same university in October 2021.
