Ali Karimpour is a postdoctoral research scholar in the 3D Bio-Motion Research Lab. His technical areas of expertise and interest include a diverse range of topics such as finite element modeling of structures for various purposes such as structural health monitoring (SHM); vibration-based damage detection techniques, especially for vital lines like highway bridges; structural model validation/updating as well as structural dynamics (frequency and time domain analyses); motion and wave load analysis of structures; operational and experimental modal analysis; and nonlinear modeling of materials and structures.
