IOWA CITY, IA – Registration is now open for the 7th International Digital Human Modeling (DHM) Symposium, August 29-31, 2022. The hybrid event is being held in Iowa City, Iowa, and virtually for those who cannot attend in person. The deadline for submitting an abstract for DHM 2022 has been extended to February 28, 2022. Submission can be made at the Easy Chair website: https://easychair.org/cfp/DHM2022

DHM is being hosted by the University of Iowa Technology Institute (ITI) and arranged in collaboration with the International Ergonomics Association's Technical Committee on Digital Human Modeling and Simulation. The event will be held in conjunction with ITI’s third annual Iowa Virtual Human Summit (IVHS), which will occur during the afternoon of the third day of the event.

The academically focused DHM is a forum for the latest in innovation and technology in digital human modeling and simulation research. The Iowa Virtual Human Summit concentrates on commercial applications and gaps surrounding digital human modeling and simulation research.

The three-day event will include paper presentations, sponsor demonstrations, a keynote, and tours of ITI labs, among other activities.

General registration is $650 (USD). Students registration is $125 (USD). Students seeking financial assistance to attend may contact iti-event@uiowa.edu. For a paper to be included in the DHM proceedings, a registration is required for at least one author no later than July 1, 2022. The registration fee includes publication cost for symposium proceedings.

The early bird registration deadline is May 20. The final registration deadline is Aug. 25. See below for the full list of important dates leading up to the symposium.

In addition to access to event proceedings, the registration fee will cover a light breakfast and lunch all three days, one dinner event, and a happy hour with hors d'oeuvres. The registration fee remains the same for those participating virtually to offset costs of providing virtual access.
