Professor Allan Guymon received the Faculty Award for Excellence in Research.

Ed Sander, University of Iowa associate professor of biomedical engineering and director of graduate studies, has received the Robert and Virginia Wheeler Faculty Fellowship in Engineering.

Hosin “David” Lee, a University of Iowa professor of civil and environmental engineering, received the outstanding overseas alumnus award from the Seoul National University, a national public research university based in Seoul, South Korea.

The University of Iowa Center for Advancement is honoring seven members of the armed forces who have demonstrated exceptional service to their communities and nation with the awards. Maj. Gen. Stewart Wallace, the military advisor to the Iowa Technology Institute, is among those who will receive the Hawkeye Distinguished Veterans Award on Nov. 10, 2022. 

Hyerim Kim, a University of Iowa graduate student in chemical and biochemical engineering, earned a second place award at the 16th Conference on Atmospheric Radiation, held as part of the 2022 Collective Madison Meeting in August.
