Hosin “David” Lee, a University of Iowa professor of civil and environmental engineering, was honored with the outstanding contribution award at the annual meeting of the Korean Transportation Association in America.

CBE professor Jun Wang is an investigator on NASA’s TEMPO, which Time Magazine has named one of its best inventions of 2023. The space instrument is expected to help scientists understand the sources of pollution by revolutionizing how real-time air quality data is collected.

Recent BME graduate Bhavya Vats received the Academic & Scholarly Achievement Award at the 2023 International Student Graduation Celebration. Vats has demonstrated a keen interest in research, working in three different labs, including the Ankrum Lab.

The University of Iowa Center for Advancement is honoring seven members of the armed forces who have demonstrated exceptional service to their communities and nation with the awards. Maj. Gen. Stewart Wallace, the military advisor to the Iowa Technology Institute, is among those who will receive the Hawkeye Distinguished Veterans Award on Nov. 10, 2022. 

Hyerim Kim, a University of Iowa graduate student in chemical and biochemical engineering, earned a second place award at the 16th Conference on Atmospheric Radiation, held as part of the 2022 Collective Madison Meeting in August.
