Zeke Gunnink is a research assistant in the Operator Performance Laboratory. Gunnink began working at the OPL while he was an undergrad sophomore at the University of Iowa. He has graduated with a degree in Computer Electrical Engineering with a focus on Software Engineering. In his over six years of service at OPL, he has architected and developed software for a wide range of systems including an MI-2, L29, HMMWV, crop planters, and LIDARS. He is well versed in human cognitive workload and works to develop the workload algorithms and analyze the human performance of subjects in studies conducted at OPL. Gunnink also has familiarization with research aircraft and rotorcraft handling and operations. He is interested in flying and has a private pilot license and enjoys running marathons.
