Hemant Aggarwal, PhD

Postdoctoral Research Scholar

Hemant Kumar Aggarwal is a postdoctoral research scholar in the Computational Biomedical Imaging Group (CBIG). At CBIG, Aggarwal works to develop deep learning algorithms for various inverse problems in medical imaging. Developing fast algorithms for accelerating MRI, Aggarwal's current project focuses on how to jointly optimize both the sampling mask and the reconstruction network in a model-based deep learning framework for the parallel MRI.

Aggarwal received a B.Tech from USICT GGSIPU-Dehli, India, and went on to receive an M.Tech from Jawaharlal Nehru University. He then received a PhD from the Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi before coming to the University of Iowa.
