Edward Sander is an associate professor in the Roy J. Carver Department of Biomedical Engineering and a researcher at the Iowa Institute for Biomedical Imaging. He directs the Multi-scale Mechanics, Mechanobiology, and Tissue Engineering Laboratory (3MT). 

Mariam El-Hattab is a PhD student in biomedical engineering and a graduate research assistant in the 3MT Lab at the University of Iowa Technology Institute.
