The Multi-scale Mechanics, Mechanobiology, and Tissue Engineering (3MT) Laboratory is focused on integrating experiment with theory to understand the dynamic and multi-scale mechanical interplay between cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions in forming and remodeling tissues.

Ankrum, Sander awarded NIH grant to improve wound healing therapies

Kristan Worthington and Edward Sander are investigating the impact that low gravity environments have on regenerative tissue technology that could be used for therapy during space missions. The intent is to advance the collective ability to use stem cell technology during long-term spaceflight for astronauts that require treatment.
