Daniel Tong, associate professor of atmospheric chemistry and aerosols of George Mason University, is scheduled to deliver the University of Iowa's Climate / Atmospheric Science & Engineering (CASE) Colloquium talk on Friday, Feb. 17. The event is virtual. The topic is "Extreme Air Quality Events (Dust Storms and Wildfires) and Society in a Changing Climate."

Patrick Selmer, programmer/analyst at Science Systems and Applications, Inc, was the featured speaker of the University of Iowa Climate / Atmospheric Science & Engineering (CASE) Colloquium series on Dec. 5, 2022. The presentation was titled "Backscatter Lidar Retrieval Improvement with Machine Learning."

Lixin Wang, a professor at the Department of Earth Sciences at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, was the featured speaker of the Climate / Atmospheric Science & Engineering (CASE) Colloquium series on Nov. 18, 2022. The presentation was titled "Drought characterization and impacts on agriculture and natural ecosystems."

Ping Jing, a professor at the School of Environmental Sustainability at Loyola University Chicago, was the featured speaker of the Climate / Atmospheric Science & Engineering (CASE) Colloquium series on Nov. 11, 2022. The presentation was titled "Community Air Research Experience: Engaging Undergraduate Students in Research on Air Pollution in Chicago Communities."

The organizing committee for the 7th International Digital Human Modeling Symposium (DHM 2022) has released a tentative program featuring more than 50 papers. The event is being hosted by the Iowa Technology Institute.

Jesse E. Bell, a professor at the Department of  Environmental, Agricultural, and Occupational Health at University of Nebraska is scheduled as the featured speaker of the Climate / Atmospheric Science & Engineering (CASE) Colloquium speaker series on May 27. The presentation is titled “Water, Climate and Health Program."

Prof. Keri Hornbuckle, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at University of Iowa, spoke at the Climate / Atmospheric Science & Engineering (CASE) Colloquium series. The topic was “The impact of coordinated sampling, analytical, and data management methods with identification and remediation of legacy and modern sources of airborne PCBs.”

Prof. A. Gannet Hallar, at the Department of Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Utah, is the next featured speaker of the Climate / Atmospheric Science & Engineering (CASE) Colloquium series, presented by the University of Iowa.

The Organizing Committee of the 7th International Digital Human Modeling Symposium (DHM 2022) is announcing two keynote presenters, expanded details on the types of submissions being accepted, and a new lower pricing structure for both in-person and virtual options.

The Climate / Atmospheric Science & Engineering (CASE) Colloquium hasted Prof. Charles Stanier on Friday, Feb. 11 at 2:30 p.m. via Zoom. The CASE Colloquium is presented by the Center for Global and Regional Environmental Research and the Iowa Technology Institute.
